About Kidz Central Station ®
Founded by a NYC mom of two young kids, Kidz Central Station uses technology to solve the problem so many busy parents face—finding a simple way to find, book, and manage their children's classes, camps, and local family events. We know parents have little time, so instead of spending precious time searching all over the web, they can now find (and enroll in) the best kids’ activities all in one place!
Parents can search by the criteria that are most important to them, such as age, location, price, activity type, and day/time. They can also search specifically by weekend classes, after work classes (so working parents can enjoy activities with their kids!), sibling classes, and outdoor classes!
Kidz Central Station offers more than 5,000 classes and camps for every age and interest, representing hundreds of the NY area’s top activity providers. With a sophisticated search engine and class reviews from fellow parents, it is easy to find the best classes and activities for your children, sign up for a trial class, and directly enroll.
Founder and CEO
Lauren Pohl is the CEO and founder of Kidz Central Station and a mom to two amazing kids. A (recovering) lawyer, Lauren came up with the idea for Kidz Central Station while on maternity leave with her youngest child. On a quest to find the right music class for her young child, she quickly grew frustrated with having to search dozens of websites in order to find the right class, many of which didn’t even have online enrollment! Thus, the idea for Kidz Central Station was born. Lauren enjoys learning about all of the great kids’ programs that help busy parents keep their children active and happy.
In her former life, Lauren spent many years as a corporate attorney at Kaye Scholer LLP. She has a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Cornell University.
