Our website makes it quick and easy to search, find, and enroll in kids’ classes, camps, and activities. As a team that includes several busy parents, we understand the importance of family and are working hard to create a product that helps parents spend less time searching for kids’ activities and more time with their kids.

Job: Marketing Director

Responsibilities

Fast growing NYC start-up is looking to add a Marketing Director to its team. Marketing Director will be responsible for increasing website traffic and engagement, brand awareness and customer acquisition in multiple markets among activity providers in the kids’ space and parents through PR and marketing initiatives. Specifically, the Marketing Director will be responsible for creating, monitoring and analyzing digital and traditional ads, creating and executing marketing plans, preparing and analyzing frequent email blasts to our audience, working closely with the business development team, attending events on behalf of Kidz Central Station, PR related activities, designing marketing collateral and assisting with search engine optimization and review and analysis of analytics.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years marketing experience, including some digital marketing experience and PR experience.
  • Graphic design skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience working in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
  • The candidate should be entrepreneurial, able to help build a brand and excited about being part of a fast growing NYC start-up in the kids’ activities space.
  • Bachelor's degree plus MBA or equivalent marketing experience.

Job: Customer Relations Associate

Who We’re Looking For:

We are on the hunt for a Customer Relations Associate who can roll up his/her sleeves and significantly contribute to the growth of our company—and wear many hats in the process.

The Associate will be completely autonomous in engaging with parents to assist in their booking process and with class providers who list their activities on our platform. The Associate will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Head of Marketing and will have the opportunity to contribute to event planning, social media and content writing projects. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is excited about the prospect of working at an early stage startup with potential for growth and financial reward.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist parents in the booking processes (including managing booking changes).
  • Assist or manage as required activity providers’ listings on the platform (including adding class schedules, optimizing their listings and keeping them up to date on what is new with Kiz Central)
  • Stay in contact with our customer needs and look for opportunities to develop creative solutions that meet clients needs.
  • Liaise with our Head of Partnerships and Head of Marketing to coordinate promotional calendars, social media, reporting (providers’ dashboards), etc.
  • Assist with event planning and execution and represent us at events

As we expand Kidz Central Station to new markets, responsibilities will also include training local Customer Relations and Business Development Associates.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and written skills and responsiveness to clients and management
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Comfortable learning a new IT environment
  • Ability to engage clients as you build relationships
  • Organized, independent, resourceful and diligent
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree
  • Interest in kids enrichment activities a plus

Job: Head of Sales & Business Development

Who We’re Looking For

We are on the hunt for our Head of Sales & Business Development who can roll up his/her sleeves and significantly contribute to the growth of our company—and wear many hats in the process. This means not only prospecting and growing the variety of kids’ programs on our site, but also creating partnerships with companies with a kids’ focus, expanding digital ad sales, supporting event management and enhancing our sales process strategy and product. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is excited about the prospect of working at an early stage startup with potential for growth and financial reward.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound sales calls on a daily basis to individual businesses in the kids’ activity space offering our marketing services and platform to connect with parents.
  • Prospect to find new potential clients, identify clients’ needs and propose effective sales strategies via phone and email.
  • Generate/increase revenue of new and existing accounts direct from clients to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Generate additional revenue from untapped sources, including digital ads.
  • Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients through day-to-day interactions; actively grow industry relationships in order to gain marketplace intelligence.
  • Understand customer needs and look for opportunities to develop monetize-able creative solutions, including customizable cross-platform opportunities that meet client needs.
  • Direct accounts from proposal through post-analysis.
  • Liaise with our customer service team to ensure clients receive superior service.

As we expand Kidz Central Station to new markets, responsibilities will also include hiring and managing local Sales and Business Development Associates.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold calling, closing sales over the phone
  • Ability to engage clients as you build relationships
  • Organized, independent, resourceful and diligent
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and written skills and responsiveness to clients and management
  • Interest in kids enrichment activities a plus

Compensation

Commensurate with experience. Equity participation
