Students will learn how to play piano in the context of one-on-one weekly sessions. Nora will support your learning of an applied instrument and incorporate theory and ear training following method books and appropriate supplemental materials.   

To schedule your child's lesson, choose your lesson length and either one less or a discounted 5-lesson pack. Select your preferred day and we will contact you to arrange a specific lesson time.  

Lessons slots are first-come, first-served, and are available Mon-Thu 10am-7pm, Fri 10am-3pm, and Sat 11am-4pm. Sign up to reserve your preferred time today.

At High Note Nyc Piano and Vocal Instruction,
piano and voice students range greatly in age, experience and their motivations to learn including natural-born performers, shy beginners, professional and recreational musicians.  I also coach on projection of voice, good for public speaking, confidence and debate teams.

One on one music lessons ensure teachings are tailored to individual students’ needs for optimal learning, with strong emphases on building confidence, fluent music reading, and solo performance competency.

Nora received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Toronto, and her Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from Manhattan School of Music.  Nora has studied with world renowned teachers, Mary Morrison, Patricia Kern and Mignon Dunn for Voice and Piano Pedagogy with her mentor Paul Sheftel.  Nora is a former faculty member of the Early Childhood Department at the Diller-Quaile School of Music, NYC. Nora also completed Dalcroze Comprehensive Musical Training at Lucy Moses School, Kaufman Center NYC and the Integrative Sound and Music Facilitator Training Program from the New York Open Center.  Nora is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and NYSMTA, the Piano Teachers Congress of New York, the National Association of Teachers of Singing and NYSTA.  Recently, Nora completed four years of Psychotherapy Training from Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy NYC, which has guided and enhanced her approach to music coaching, particularly with students who wish to overcome performance anxiety.
