In December, the choir will have a performance.

The chorus group is directed by an accomplished conductor, Theodore Alvanos. Mr. Alvanos has conducted Vocal Ensemble “Vita Musicale” for 6 years and “2ART Choir” for 2 years. Mr. Alvanos says, “The choral music experience is considered as one of the most efficient and productive methods to awaken and develop the musical talent in a child. When I was 6 years old, I started my journey in choral life and have participated in numerous concerts, festivals, competitions and trips to various destinations. As a result, I acquired great amount of musical knowledge and, moreover, I gained strong bonds with people from all over the world. This long journey made me become a choir conductor and I am thrilled to share my wonderful experiences with young musicians."

In-Home Piano Lessons in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens)

I wish I had HyeJo as a piano teacher when I took lessons years ago. Her quiet, thoughtful demeanor allows my 5 year old daughter to really focus and want to practice and excel all on her own without any prodding. She looks forward to lessons. Thank you to Kenji and Hye Joe for a creating a truly exceptional and supportive experience .

In-Home Piano Lessons in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens)

Words can’t begin to express how grateful our family is for Kenji and the Willan Academy of Music. Our son is a high energy free thinking child who Kenji has turned into a musician. The patience, kindness and respect Kenji has shown our son and family is truly indicative of the person and teacher he is. The school focuses on the fundamentals of learning an instrument, like reading music and classic playing, yet using modern elements to keep the children engaged. We have seen our child grow from being shy to play in front of anyone to now walking on the stage and taking his bow with confidence. Kenji is truly an exceptional teacher. Thank you Willan Academy!

In-Home Piano Lessons in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens)

Our son just started learning Guitar this year and has been very lucky to have Kenji as his very first guitar instructor. Kenji has a great patient attitude with children and my son immediately bonded with him . He has many fun teaching techniques to keep my son motivated and not frustrated with his initial steps in learning. He is an excellent teacher. We are all very happy that he signed up with Willan Academy.

In-Home Music Lessons for Busy Families in NYC:
The hustling and bustling of NYC keeps everyone on their toes. Not just the adults, but kids too. With so much going on at school in our kids’ lives, it’s hard to keep a healthy balance between work, home responsibilities and attending to the needs involved in our child’s extracurricular activities. In this case, to have a teacher come home and give music lessons to your kids can be an absolute blessing!
