Kidz Tips
  • Create your own app!
  • No prior experience necessary!
  • Grades 5-7

In this workshop kids create their very own Android apps for use on mobile and tablet devices! With an interface similar to Scratch, MIT’s user-friendly App Inventor system enables kids to learn how to design a GUI (graphical user interface), where to place buttons and text, and how to strategically use multiple screens. Conditional statements and Boolean operators are examples of critical programming elements explored during the workshop. No previous coding experience is required.
