Join Bricks 4 Kidz for February Break!

This new and exciting program is designed to teach coding basics using a specially developed robot, DASH! This program is designed for children in grades K-5. Kids learn to do basic coding in order to make DASH move, perform tasks, even launch a ball and hit a target. Our lessons were developed to be in alignment with common core and enhance school curricula. This innovative program is taking the country by storm.

The Bricks 4 Kidz® Junior Robotics Program offers children all the fun of building with our special models and machines using LEGO® bricks, plus the challenge of using computer programming with WeDo software. Using drag-and-drop icon-based software, WeDo provides an introduction into the world of computer-programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based marketplace.

The Bricks 4 Kidz® Advanced Robotics Program provides advanced training in computer programming and building robots with Lego® bricks. We use the Lego’s Mindstorm EV3 software and their Core Building Set for this program. Children continue to work in teams of two in order to build their teamwork and collaboration skill.

Bricks 4 Kidz® NYC is a locally owned small, women-owned business.  We provide educational enrichment programs and activities to children, ages 3-13+, to build and strengthen concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) through machine and model building with LEGO® bricks (and DUPLO® bricks with children under 5) . Our programs are built around unique, proprietary model plans designed by engineers and architects with exciting themes such as space, construction and amusement parks that provide building blocks for educational play.   The goals of Bricks 4 Kidz® programs are to:
  • Introduce engineering and architecture principles
  • Explore math and science concepts
  • Engage in STEM activities
  • Build self-confidence and problem-solving skills
  • Enhance self-esteem through solving problems and completing projects
  • Activate children’s lively imaginations
B4K NYC provides:
  • Summer and Holiday Camps – We offer week-long, half and full day camps designed around current themes that children love, like Mining and Crafting, Angry Birdies, and Clash of Bricks.
  • Afterschool Workshops – These are 60 minute workshops done onsite at schools, delivered by specially trained teachers who have undergone careful screening and training. All our teachers have completed DOE background check and fingerprinting.
  • Pre-school Workshops – Our workshops for pre-school children focus on reinforcing essential skills with a fun, new approach based on the time-tested popularity of LEGO® bricks (for pre-school, we use DUPLO® bricks). We use DUPLO® bricks to create fun, simple sculptures based on the alphabet. Kids gain a greater awareness of the work around them as they talk about topics like fish, gardens, keys and other everyday objectives.
  • Field trips/Classroom Workshops – We have special lessons that are designed to support and enhance what is being taught in the classroom. Our lessons also integrate Core Curriculum concepts and teachings. Our lessons take the learning out of the textbooks and bring them to life for students.
  • Birthday Parties – We offer fun and unique birthday party packages that include a variety of activities, challenges and model builds using LEGO® bricks.
  • Kidz Night Out – These are special, 3 hour events where children participate in model builds, play games, watch movies, have free play with LEGO® bricks, eat pizza and have lots and lots of fun!
