  • Highly structured environemnt
  • Parent participation encouraged

When a child has Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), summer camp can become the school of hard knocks. At the Child Study Center’s Summer Program for Kids (SPK), we know how to let kids be kids!

What is the Summer Program for Kids?
SPK is a seven-week, therapeutic, day program for children with ADHD and behavior disorders.

What are the benefits of SPK?
In a highly structured environment, each child is helped to improve home and classroom behavior, friendship skills, coping skills, and self-esteem. We encourage parents to attend specialized weekly sessions to learn effective behavior management techniques.

Who works with the children in the program?
Our staff-to-child ratio of 1:1 allows us to be highly responsive to each child’s needs. Our clinical team includes child psychologists and NYS certified teachers. Our counselors are advanced undergraduate and graduate students, who undergo four weeks of intensive training with our clinical staff.

Is transportation provided?
We provide transportation to and from SPK at centrally located pick up and drop off points in Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, and Westchester.
